Memorial Day is to Remember and Honor

This Memorial Day, we honor the military service of our area’s deceased veterans by highlighting the service of the late Edward Bryant.  His story represents all those who sacrificed greatly for our country.  Mr. Bryant was drafted in July 1966 and graduated from basic training at the U.S. Army’s Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri.  He deployed to Thailand on Thanksgiving Day 1966 and drove signal and supplies into Vietnam until his 1968 discharge from Ft. Louis, Washington.  He was interred with military honors in December 2019.

We cherish the memories of all those who perished during active service and those who sacrificed to serve our great country during their lifetime.
