These Goldendoodle brothers have been togather since birth. Both are certified by the American Kennel Club as Canine Good Citizens working toward their therapy certification. They love providing a positive and uplifting energy to those who need it most. When not working, they love walking with their sisters to school and playing in their backyard.

Christopher J. Modetz, a 2001 graduate of Livonia Stevenson High School, received his Mortuary Science degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Illinois and became a licensed funeral director in 2005. Christopher has been involved in funeral service since 1997, working in multiple funeral homes throughout Oakland County. Christopher and his wife Lynn now reside in Ortonville with their two daughters, Julia, and Carol, and two goldendoodle comfort pups, Charlie and Quintin.

Roy W. Langolf, a 1977 graduate of Marysville High School, received his Mortuary Science degree from Wayne State University and became a licensed Funeral Director in 1981.  Roy has been involved with funeral service since 1978 spending the last 38 years in Oakland County.  Having purchased the former Sherman-Wilk Funeral along with Heather Coats in 2008, he completed the acquisition in 2016 on his own and renamed the funeral home, Village Funeral Home.   His career has led him to be involved in the Michigan Funeral Directors Association in several capacities both locally and state wide as President of District 6 and currently serves on the Executive Board for the association as President.  He is a member of the Ortonville Lions Club having served on the board of directors in a number of different capacities.  He and his wife Lisa reside in Clarkston and have a combined family of one daughter, three sons and their families.

Michele Baxter Administrative Assistant

Michele R. Baxter joined the Village Funeral Home staff after a 40 year career at Willow Pointe Flowers and Gifts as Manager and Wedding Consultant. Michele is a 1977 graduate of Brandon High School. She was a resident of Ortonville most of her life, until she and her husband, Hank, moved to Goodrich in 1992 to raise their two sons, Blake and Tyler. She hopes to continue to impact the community and our families with care and assistance.
